The editors of The Journal of British and Irish Poetry are tremendously saddened to hear of the death of the unique and brilliant poet, Chris Torrance.
One of our co-editors, Gareth Farmer, had the privilege of reviewing Test Centre's 2017 edition of The Magic Door for Poetry Wales in 2018. Collecting together eight of Torrance's books, this edition is a remarkable achievement of both editing and production. It can be ordered from Jess Chandler's new publishing project, Prototype, here.
We know that many of our readers, contributors and friends will share our appreciation for Torrance's poetic, performance and teaching work over the years and be saddened by his loss. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
